Our Story
S. Scott Alcius
Founder, 1804 Tequila
Some inherit a name. S. Scott Alcius inherited a year. Of Haitian descent, he is heir to the spirit of 1804 — the year his ancestors won the only successful revolution of the enslaved and founded the first free Black republic. That inheritance is not decoration. It is a way of building.
“Freedom was never handed down. It was won — and it deserves to be poured like it.”
— 1804
By trade and by temperament, Scott is a builder. He founded Truth Lounge & Nightclub in South Florida — turning a room into a destination — and went on to co-found Nesvio and StoresGo, translating instinct into institutions. An MBA sharpened the discipline; the vision was always his own.
1804 Tequila is where it all converges: a founder's heritage and a builder's rigor, distilled. It is a spirit made in the image of its name — bold, exact, and unwilling to ask permission. Independence, in a bottle.
This is the long game. A house built to honor where it comes from and to earn its place on the finest back bars — pioneering, proud, and free.
